In 2003, it was realised the need for help rehoming boxer dogs in Cornwall.
There seemed to be no charity operating in the area dedicated to the breed, so it began. Rescuing one boxer and placing it into a loving home was followed by another and then more. With support from existing rescues and loving people who are dedicated to boxers.
Given the logistical problems of being so far down the toe of UK is soon became apparent that locally, there were many boxers needing help and their owners needing guidance and information in dealing with boxer dogs.
Reaching Charity Status on 20 October 2010 is the culmination of years of dedication and hard work initially by just a few.
Today, Cornwall & South Devon Boxer Rescue continues to grow with several oldies in long term foster homes, temporary foster homes and a committee of 8 (including a dedicated fundraising team) we hope to reach more of the public eye and help more boxers with the generosity and support of the public.
If you could help, please contact us.. The more people we have helping, the more we can do.
